A marketing meeting overheard in 1979:

Here's a great marketing idea.

We'll sponsor the Olympics.

The Olympics are great. Everyone loves the Olympics, they'll be watching and cheering for hours.


They'll be at the bar, see our matches and order another fine product from Carlton and United Breweries - a company that will live on forever.

What could possibly go wrong?
