This week's pin up comes from an artist which has become one of the Charles' favourites - Gil Elvgren.
Right up there with Alberto Vargas, Elvgren specialised in the classic pin-up style popular from the 1930s to the 1960s.
While Elvgren was the top of the tree but, as Lileks has noticed, there were other artists who just didn't 'get it'.
Art Frahm was one of those artists (oh yes, completely safe for work). Click for James Lileks' social history on this interesting artist.
