Snapped!

This style of architecture found on the 1934 built Logan and Albert Hotel in Beaudesert (40km west of the Gold Coast) looks eerily familiar...

Logan and Albert Hotel
...Spanish mission style, shield cartouche...

Snap.

Southport Bathing Pavilion

But unlike the Gold Coast City Council-owned heritage listed bathing pavilion, you can actually own this piece of history and thus also fulfill many a bloke's fantasy of having his own pub.

A quick Internet search doesn't reveal the name the architects but it would be a fair bet it would be the prolific Hall and Phillips who were responsible for many significant public buildings in the 1930s, including the Southport and Main Beach Bathing Pavilions and the Southport Town Council.

Each September, Beaudesert plays host to a terrific little swap meet and that's where Nick, Nora and friends will be on Sunday hoping to pick up some more Nifty Knick Knacks.
